Quintuple continuous (1x5)

The Quintuple ultratriathlon CONTINUOUS is a race over a total distance of 1'130 kilometers (5 ultratriathlons of 3.8km swim, 180km bike and 42.2km run each). The athletes have to complete all distances at a time:

Start: Thursday, 23. August 2018, approx. 6 pm

 


Time limits

The time limit is 153 hours in total (6.4 days). 

 

  • Swim: until Friday, 24. August 2018, 10.00 am (16 hours)
  • Bike: until 29. August 2018, 11.00 pm
  • Run / finish time: 30. August 2018, 3.00 am

 

 


Registration

The registration is possible until 1. July 2018. The participation is confirmed only with the complete receipt of the payment.

The competition will be held with a minimum number of participants of 5 athletes. If there are less than 5 athletes on the participant list, the organizing committee reserves the right to cancel the competition. The key date is 1. May 2018. 

 

If an athlete can't participate because of a medical condition or accident, the athlete has to provide a doctor's report. If the cancellation is announced until 15. June 2018, 50% of the already paid entry fee will be refunded. After this deadline no refund is possible anymore.

 


Entry fee

 The starting fee is CHF 2'000. You have the opportunity to save up to 10%:

 

  • 5% early bird discount: Anyone who registers before 1 March 2018 and makes an advanced payment of at least CHF 900 will pay CHF 1'900 instead of CHF 2'000.
  • 5% ultrafamily discount: If more than 35 athletes register for the swissultra 2018 (all participants of the races added up) by July 1, 2018, each athlete will receive 5% of the entry fee (in this case: 5% of CHF 2'000 = CHF 100).

 

 

Payment mode: CHF 900 at registration and the remaining amount by 1 July 2018 at the latest.

 

The swissultra is a non-profit association. The races are self-sustaining and based completely on voluntary work. The entry fees help the organizing committee to maintain a high quality and "all inclusive" service. 


Services

The following services are included in the entry fee: 

 

  • Meals: Sandwiches, soup and up to three hot meals per day, including salad and dessert.
  • Food is 24 hours available.
  • 1-2 food stands on the track with water, other drinks, snacks and fruits (the range of food and drinks is depending on the weather)
  • Food and drinks for all athletes at the pre race briefing event, up to 2 crew people / supporters are invited as well
  • Fully covered transition zone with refrigerators, freezers, warm showers and toilets nearby
  • Electricity and Internet access (WLAN) in the supporter area
  • Bicycle service on site or on request with pickup and delivery service
  • Athletes village (separate zone in the swimming pool area): Resting tents for participants and supporters (no camping zone, just to relax during the race)
  • Free entry to the swimming pool area for all athletes and supporters
  • Massage service (upon availability of massage therapists)
  • Illumination of the running track and supporter area during the night
  • Start package with personalized starter shirt and goodies
  • Finisher trophy, finisher shirt and other gifts
  • Award ceremony and aperitif for athletes, supporters and relatives (food is included for up to 2 accompanying persons per athlete)

All bank or payment processor fees will be borne by the participant. The payment must be made in Swiss Francs (CHF). 

 


Conditions of participation

To participate in the swissultra, an athlete must have finished an Ironman or Ultratriathlon competition or another comparable competition in 2016 or 2017. If you are not sure if you are qualified for this race, please contact us by e-mail at info@swissultra.ch and tell us more about your sports career.

 

The participant has to sign and hand in a disclaimer (waiver) as well as a medical certificate before the start of the race. All documents are available as downloads in the list below.

Medical certificate swissultra 2017 - Quintuple CONTINUOUS
The medical certificate has to be handed over to the event organizer during the briefing, together with the signed waiver of liability. Without the medical certificate and the signed waiver of liability an athlete will not be allowed to participate in the race. You can also bring your own valid medical certificate that must not be older than 3 months.

Waiver swissultra 2018
The waiver document must be printed and signed by the participant before the race starts. You can either send a scan or photo of the document by email to info@swissultra.ch or bring it to the briefing.
